Change VPN to all traffic, not just UW traffic and be patient. Can take up to 10 minutes to initialize license administrator over VPN.

Subject: [UW-GIS-L] Unable to open ArcMap/Catalog after checking out a license from the UW License Servers
Hi UW-GIS-L,
I was in several MUP GIS classes last year in which I had a student license for ArcGIS Desktop 10.7.1. I have not used the software this academic year, and I am planning to join the CSDE geocoding workshop today and needed to redownload/access the software. I am currently at home accessing the Husky OnNet VPN.
Following the instructions here (https://sites.uw.edu/arcgis/software/arcgis-desktop/arcmap/on-campus/) for an on-campus license, I was able to download ArcGIS 10.8.2 and followed the instructions through Step 3.7. However, when I tried to check availability of licenses my ArcAdministrator stops responding and I have to use Task Manager to close the program. When I go to open ArcMap or ArcCatalog, the option that comes up on my computer is version 10.7.1, but won't open because it was uninstalled during the 10.8.2 install process. However, I can't find a 10.8.2 version to open in my programs.
Any recommendations to troubleshoot? What folders/areas should I look in that perhaps I'm overlooking?
Thanks for your help!
Best,
Kelsey
