I am interested in using StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS . I believe that a specific license is needed for this (e.g., StreetMap Premium North America extension ). I am not sure if UW has this license or has access to a similar licensed address dataset that could be used. In my understanding, I need a .loc file that includes streets and address ranges to be used for the geocoding process. I'm a faculty member affiliate of CSDE and I use the .loc files that are available on their CSDE Terminal Servers drives. Also, in my GIS class I instruct students to map their computer's Z drive to: \\software.gis.washington.edu\Data\Geocoding\Geocoding Data for ArcGIS Pro\2023R2 When connected to the UW campus network (or when connected via VPN). You'll find both the loc file, as well as the data license that you need to install in ArcGIS Pro in that directory location. If you're doing a large amount of geocoding though, I think UW GIS support wants us to install ESRI Business Analyst add-on to ArcGIS Pro, which includes the license to StreetMap. See this site for install files (need to on UW campus network or via VPN): http://software.gis.washington.edu/esri/BusinessAnalyst/BusinessAnalystData/ After installing, you'd need to create your own loc files to match the kind of geocoding you'll do. You don't need to install Business Analyst to use it but doing so does allow some additional customization and easy-to-use tools.
