The School of Environmental and Forest Sciences (SEFS) is hiring a
Pre-doctoral Instructor (PDI) for Autumn 2024.  The priority deadline was

*Course*: ESRM 250/SEFS 520: Intro to Geographic Information Systems in
Forest Resources

*Dates*: September 16, 2024 - December 15, 2024

*Meeting Times*: M/W 8:30am - 11:20am, MGH 030

*Compensation*: Position is 60% FTE, PDIs are paid at the Candidate Rank,
monthly compensation is $3,949 ($11,847 for the quarter), must be in good
academic standing



*Priority Deadline to Apply*: August 7, 2024.

*COURSE DESCRIPTION: *

*ESRM 250/SEFS 520 Introduction to Geographic Information Systems in Forest
Resources (5) NSc, RSN *

Applications of GIS technology to forest science and management.
Fundamentals of GIS systems: data sources, preprocessing, map analysis,
output; remote sensing as a source of GIS data, image analysis, and
classification. Emphasis on GIS as a source of management and technical
information requests.
