Thanks for providing the link to the shapefile ADM2. What raster file are you using? Are you able to share it with me? I was reading this ESRI blog trying to better understand the ins and outs of zonal statistics myself: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/spatial-analyst/analytics/getting-the-most-out-of-zonal-statistics/. Do you think what might be occurring in your case could be related to scenario #2, "Missing Zones in the Output"? I apologize for the extended back-and-forth emails. If you want to include a wider net of potential assistance, you can post your issue to the following UW campus GIS user community: uwlib-gis-l@uw.edu. Someone on that list probably has more zonal stats experience than I do. -Matt Matthew Parsons Geospatial Data and Maps Librarian Subject Liaison to ESS, Atmos. I am able to run the tool for one zone (when I select only run for 1) but when I try to run it for all the zones in the ADM2 dataset it says "table creation failed". I have looked at the help option, but from my understanding the zone dataset can be a shapefile and doesn't need to be modified further. - Meanwhile for the input raster it's in binary format. And tried to run the zonal statistics with another zones dataset - it runs. But when I try and do the same for the ADM2 data I am unable to create the table. The ADM2 data sits here: geoboundaries.org/globalDownloads.html Hope that helps clarify what the issue is Best, Ahana From: Matthew Parsons > Date: Monday, 12 August 2024 at 11:42 AM To: Ahana Raina >, uwlib-gis@uw.edu > Subject: RE: GIS- Zonal Statistics Help Hi Ahana, Can you provide me with a bit more detail? Are you able to run the tool, or does it appear to be unavailable, for instance? Or, are you experiencing some type of error message after running the tool, if so what is it? You may have already come across this, and forgive me if I'm underestimating your GIS-skill level/experience, but I want to make sure we're covering all the bases: ESRI has a fairly decent help page on the tool here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/spatial-analyst/zonal-statistics-as-table.htm, that may hold some answers to the problem(s) you are experiencing. -Matt Matthew Parsons Geospatial Data and Maps Librarian Subject Liaison to ESS, Atmos. ArcMap after mature support (esri.com) https://www.esri.com/about/newsroom/arcuser/moving-from-arcmap-to-arcgis-pro-after-mature-support/ Time to migrate to ArcGIS Pro.
