Greetings: Given the poor health status of this country, something that wasn't even a topic of debate in the recent elections, please join this event which showcases pretty bad news.

Dear Colleague,
Health in the US has far-reaching impacts, not only on well-being, but also for the economy and policy. The drivers of health are influenced by age, race, gender, and geography in increasingly complex ways. The US now ranks 45th in life expectancy globally, a major setback from the 24th place it occupied three decades ago. What would it take for the US be as healthy as its peers? Addressing risk factors including overweight and obesity, examining health disparities, and understanding forecasts of health trends in the US will be essential.
Join me for a live briefing on Wednesday, December 11 at 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PST, where I will present IHME’s collection of new papers, part of The Lancet’s upcoming special issue on US health. During the event, I will give an overview of our findings and answer questions from the audience.
