[Alpine-info] Any Other Way of Alpine Reading Dates?

Hi chime,
I am wondering if the  mangling is tied to the screen reader software you 
are using?
speaking personally, I am surprised one cannot customize how 
capitalization's are spoken.
I keep mine off, unless editing, but I am using DOS.
For the record, at least according to recent google accessibility posts, 
you cannot customize accessibility settings with  some of their  tools 
either..which is frankly nonsensical.
